Dr. Strive Masiyiwa

Dr. Strive Masiyiwa is an internationally recognised business leader, entrepreneur, humanitarian and philanthropist. Dr. Masiyiwa has attained tremendous success in business, while embodying the three key elements of leadership that we seek to instill in all of our graduates: Vision, Value and Virtue. Facebook has identified his platform, which he uses to advise young entrepreneurs, as having the most engaged following of any business leader worldwide. He is a shining example of the impact a courageous leader can have on the world and we are honoured to have him as our keynote speaker.

Dr. Masiyiwa is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Econet, a diversified global telecommunications group with operations and investments in over 15 countries. He serves on a number of international boards, including the Council on Foreign Relations’ Global Advisory Board, the Africa Progress Panel, the UN Secretary General’s Advisory Board for Sustainable Energy, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Kenjin-Tatsujin International Advisory Council. As a philanthropist, Dr. Masiyiwa and his wife finance the Higher Life Foundation, which provides scholarships to over 42,000 African orphans.
